With an international presence, Tony has captivated audiences in countries such as China, Japan, South Korea, France, Italy, Spain, Turkey, and various Caribbean nations. In the United States, Tony's musical versatility shines as he performs in diverse settings, from intimate restaurants to grand stadiums. Juggling an impressive array of roles, he leads his own quartet, trio, duo, and performs solo around six times a week. Additionally, he manages his concert series at the Columbus Museum of Art and the McConnell Arts Center. Tony serves as a staff pianist, lecturer, and instructor of commercial, jazz, and classical piano at Otterbein University. He accompanies several High School Choirs, is a collaborative pianist at Hilliard United Methodist Church, heads his music lessons company, Noteworthy Music, and his booking company, A Note Above the Rest Entertainment. He honed his craft at the Manhattan School of Music before returning to Michigan State University, where he clinched first place in the 2013 International Trumpet Guild's Jazz Improvisation Competition. As leader of The Crucial Elements, Stanco showcased his talent worldwide, serving as a cultural ambassador for the US State Department. Their performances spanned the globe, captivating audiences from South Africa to Indonesia. Stanco's acclaimed albums, including "The Crucial Elements" and "You Know The Feeling," underscore his musical prowess. His newest release, "Stanco’s Time," further captivates listeners with its innovative soundscapes, released on Origin Records. She moved to the Columbus area in 2017 to complete her degree in music education at Ohio Wesleyan University. Jasmine teaches middle school for Columbus City Schools and is a teaching artist for the Jazz Arts Group. Influenced by jazz, blues, soul, funk, and R&B, Jasmine brings a diverse body of repertoire to the table. He earned a Bachelor of Music at Capital University in Columbus, OH, and a Master of Music in Jazz Studies at the University of North Texas where he played lead alto saxophone in the seven-time Grammy-nominated One O’ Clock Lab Band. In 2016, Elliot was named a semi-finalist in the North American Saxophone Alliance Jazz Competition. He joined the renowned Glenn Miller Orchestra in 2018 and toured throughout the United States, Canada, and Japan. Elliot currently resides in Buffalo, where he maintains a busy schedule as both a leader and sideman throughout the Western New York region. He is a member of Louis Prima Jr and the Witnesses and tours with Al Stewart and The Empty Pockets.

After studying at Capital University under local jazz great Stan Smith, Colin became a professional musician in and around central Ohio. An incredibly versatile guitarist, Colin is accomplished in a variety of styles including jazz, blues, rock, funk and even calypso. It is that very flexibility that allows him to easily meld with a wide range of players.

Dove earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Studies from UNC-Greensboro’s Miles Davis Jazz Studies Program. Upon finishing his degree, Robert moved to San Diego in 2013, where he began his professional career. He also is on staff witht the Jazz Arts Group as an Artist Teacher, and the Artist Director for the Jazz Academy on Tour; A group that teaches the fundamentals and preservation of Jazz Music, history, and traditions in the community and schools. Dove has had the opportunity to perform at a multitude of venues and events spanning the United States, Canada, and Europe. He has performed and recorded alongside John Ellis, Marcus Roberts, Lee Konitz, Wessel “Warmdaddy” Anderson, Jason Marsalis, Donny McCaslin, Peter Bernstein, , Frank Stallone, Jim Rupp, Bobby Floyd, Gene Walker, and other prominent musicians. He is well versed in the traditions of jazz, and uses this facility to arrange, compose, perform, and educate with multiple groups throughout Southern California, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. Robert currently leads his own group, the Robert Dove Quintet, featuring his debut album “Paradigm Shift” featuring Gilbert Castellanos and Marshall Hawkins, which highlights the influences of jazz royalty, but with a more modern approach. In addition to this, Dove performs nationally as a sideman Gaslamp Quarter Jazz Orchestra as well as performs as a sideman with many other groups including The Western Standard Time Ska Orchestra, Ray Massa’s EuroRhythms, the George Delancey Sextet, and many more.

He was Jazz Bass professor at Ohio State University 2004-2018, and is a member of the band FLIPPO.

In a single set, you might hear interpretations of Thelonious Monk, Earth, Wind & Fire, Norah Jones, Herbie Hancock, and Hank Williams—all spun through the lens of an improvisatory guitar trio. Zakk Jones is an Ohio based guitarist, bandleader, composer and educator. Currently, he is the Coordinator of Guitar Studies at Truman State University, and a faculty mentor for Sonora Guitar Intensive. He is a member of Doc Robinson, the Tony Monaco Trio, and Third Shore Collective. Zakk has also played with The Columbus Jazz Orchestra, Maria Schneider, Lou Marini Jr, Ryan Keberle, John Fedchock, Jaleel Shaw, Dwight Adams, Jon Irabagon, and Bobby Floyd. He has multiple records under his own name, and can be heard as a sideman on over a dozen acclaimed projects. Zakk has been a featured artist at the Rocky Mountain Archtop Guitar Festival, Columbus Jazz & Ribs Festival, the Denison Jazz Guitar Festival, and the Rochester International Jazz Festival, among others. As a composer, he has won multiple grants and participated in residency programs in Florida and New Hampshire. Most recently, he is a 2024 recipient of the Individual Excellence Award from the Ohio Arts Council for his outstanding accomplishments in music composition. As an educator Zakk was previously the Head of Jazz Studies in the Conservatory of Music at his alma mater, Capital University. In this role, he led one of the nation’s oldest collegiate jazz programs. Other prior faculty appointments include Mt. Vernon Nazarene University and Bowling Green State University. Outside of his busy gigging and teaching schedule, Zakk is an avid composer/arranger, writes educational articles for JazzGuitarToday.com and hosts the podcast "Beyond The Frets". He then relocated to London, England for three years playing original music at many of the popular jazz clubs in London, including The 606 Jazz Club, the Jazz Café and the Bulls Head Barnes. He has shared the stage with some of the most famous names in jazz such as Joe Henderson, Kenny Garrett, Wes “Warmdaddy” Anderson, Conrad Herwig, Jack McDuff, Slide Hampton and George Benson. He has also been a featured soloist for the Temptations, The Columbus Jazz Orchestra, Steve Winwood, Vaughn Weister’s Famous Jazz Orchestra, Afro-Rican Jazz Ensemble, Kico Cowan and Expresion Cubana, The Four Tops and The Spinners.
Show: $10 Showtimes: 6:00 - 7:30 (Doors Open 5:30) 8:15 - 9:45 (Doors Open 7:45) Connor Evans - Guitar Evan Main - Piano Dan Montgomery - Bass Jake Richter - Drums In 2021 drummer and composer Jake Richter played a monthly residency at the legendary NYC jazz venue, the 55 Bar. The Greenwich Village club was known as a musical laboratory: many of the genre’s most innovative voices like Chris Potter, Antonio Sanchez, and Donny McCaslin used the space for experimentation, building upon their jazz foundations to explore a world of funk, punk, and avant-garde. Richter strove to do the same during his time performing there. The band he assembled for his 55 Bar residency was a new combination of old friends. While each member of the band is a premier level talent in New York City’s modern jazz scene, the incredible history and energy of the club brought their music to new heights. The band’s chemistry was electric, and they knew they had to develop it further. The group has since played two national tours, countless shows in New York, and has recorded Richter’s debut album, Listen to the Birds, which will be released on Endectomorph Records on September 20th.
